                                            Synopsis

                                                                          The Man From Furore

The Man From Furore is the story of a young fisherman, the oldest known ancestor of a prominent and special family. This novel contains both fact and fiction.

The story begins in the early 18th century when this young fisherman and his father are out fishing near the Amalfi Coast. Suddenly, they are caught in a perilous storm.  While attempting to return to the safety of their home on their small fishing boat, they are forced to navigate through the treacherous and narrow entrance of the fjord while at the same time battling the merciless waves, heavy rain and hurricane level winds.  They nearly lose their lives.

The book then provides you with a realistic and fact based view of how this young fisherman and his family lived on the Amalfi Coast in the early to mid 18th century, taking into account local, regional and world historical events.

The story is filled with emotion and drama, and focuses on this young fisherman's life, including: his childhood and teenage years; his courtship, engagement and marriage; and family tragedies. Terror, fear, love, anger, sadness, happiness, romance, grief, sympathy and hope are among the emotions felt throughout the story.
