Synopsis

Precious Memories

This book is the life and story of Angelina Cruz Endlich and her ancestors, siblings, and descendants.  Her story begins with the romantic meeting of her maternal grandparents, and how her maternal grandfather, a handsome judge and jurist, won over his beautiful future wife.  Her maternal grandparents had several children who grew up to become very prominent and history-making military officers, revolutionaries and politicians.

The story then covers her parent's meeting, marriage, and their move north. Angelina's parents had twelve children (she was the 5th child).  The book then takes you through the early 20th century and how her family dealt with the Great Depression and family tragedies.  Soon after Angelina met Armando Endlich, they married and a year later had their first child.  Their happiness was soon interrupted when World War II swept Armando into the war.  Their separation was long and difficult.  Eventually, Armando returned home, unharmed, and they put their lives back together.  They had a total of three children.   The book then covers Angelina's post-war life, her children's lives and introduces you to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The book covers Angelina's career and activities.  She was a professional concert pianist and even composed music used by Hollywood.  She also worked as a piano and school teacher.  She traveled to several countries around the world and lived her life as an exemplary Christian. Angelina died on January 5, 2015, during the finalization of this book.  She was 94.
